We're getting married

MAY 25, 2019 / nevada city / california

Our Story

playmates, friends, then Love

Micaela (Meimei) Martinez and Dylan Drummond met in First Grade in Alamo. After years as friends, over play dates and during high school, we started dating.

We love nature, and believe in a good life. We helped build ecological homes and schools, nurture bees and plants, and share a love for music. We camp and hike, and we love sunsets. We have been to Burning Man, Coachella, Fiji, Uruguay, British Columbia, Oregon, Washington, and New Mexico together. We went to Prom both years, we're each others' best friends, true loves, and badass partners in life.

We're ready to make it official!

Registry

We have (almost) everything we need! And we’re the adventurous kind.

Would you like to help us with our honeymoon!?

We would like to go to Bali!

Our family friends, Camille and John, live in Sanur, Bali. They offered the use of a beautiful cabin 10 minutes away from the beach for a week to us as a wedding gift. They are very generous and we are grateful.

Micaela has been to Bali but Dylan has not.

We need airfare to get there.

When we arrive in Bali, we will visit Gili Air (an island) and explore a tiny village where transportation is by pony buggy and bicycle only. We will visit butterfly and elephant preserves in Ubud, snorkel and scuba dive in the warm Indian Ocean under the shadow of volcanoes. We will wake up to breakfast of coffee and bananas, and dine on grilled fish and vinegary salads under inky skies. Maybe we’ll be brave and eat durian! We will ride tuktuks, get wet under soft tropical rains, and go for long walks on the beach. We will sit on the beach for every sunset. We will celebrate our honeymoon in a green far away place (where purple flowers grow in abundance) and we will explore everything.

We will return enriched by the beauty of Bali, our experience, and immensely grateful to all our friends and family who love us.

If you would like to help us get to Bali, and back, here’s a NY Times story about how putting us on a plane is cool! We signed up on Zola for cash funds to buy airfare to Bali, snorkeling, food, and island transportation!

We’re signed up at the registries below, and will update the links daily. Thank you, thank you, again, so very much!

Love, Micaela and Dylan
